China has finally been forced into taking a position. They have announced that they will back North Korea militarily if the USA strikes first. They have also stated, should North Korea make the first strike they (China) will remain neutral. Can we really take them at their word on that? Maybe not, ...

A lot of discussion about this can be found in the book "World War Z" (not the movie!).

But as gmalivuk says it depends on the type of zombie and a lot of other factors and could range from days to decades.
