Re: Blog About Paradoxes

I got down to "First Post- the Preface Paradox", dated January, and that appeared to be the first, in reality as well as by title and timestamp. I initially posted everything on the blog in an Imzy community at http://www.imzy.com/paradoxes . I moved them over to a blog all at once when I...

Paradoxi?
Yeah, I love Zeno's stuff. I did cover it, but I did it in late December, so it has a distinct Christmas theme. I think I'll go back and edit it soon.
Ring species are new to me, though. I'll definitely take a look!

Re: Star Wars Episode 3.5: Roguey One Kenobe

I just watched it for the first time today (I know, I know, I'm late). As a 17 year old, I found myself giggling a couple times as I thought about how the plot would've been different if they had the same conveniences communication-wise that we do. The scene where the pilot had to dive across a dang...

Blog About Paradoxes

Hi guys! I write a blog about paradoxes, scientific and philosophical, at http://www.paradoxtalk.com . I just posted a funny one about the Crocodile Paradox, but most of them dive into some pretty deep concepts. From the God paradox to the Barber paradox, I draw these quirks of logic into a bigger p...

Huh. So, like, two sports going on at once? Or would they only play croquet during the breaks? I feel like croquet players wouldn't like this very much...

Re: Thinking in words, and noticing errors

I'm a fantasy writer, and I mostly think in words. I often plan out fantasy stories in my head, which I may or may not write down someday. When I'm doing that, I don't notice grammar mistakes (because I don't really make any), but I do notice when I have clunky or awkward wording. I'll often stop th...

Re: Minimum population question

It's a tad controversial, but many studies suggest that when Mt. Toba erupted 70,000 years ago, world human populations fell to the low thousands. The ice age also hit us pretty hard, seeing as we don't have fur. Those two disasters are why humans have such low genetic diversity today, compared to o...

Oh, I loved the Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time!
On the nonfiction side, I LOVE Mary Roach. She's basically a hilarious Malcolm Gladwell, and I love her. Gulp was especially fun.

Re: Why is dog fighting morally wrong?

I think it's easy to come up with a moral system that's against dog fighting- the bigger problem is finding a moral system that's against dog fighting and for the slaughter of pigs and cows. I know just about everyone thinks dog fighting is abhorrent, or at least a little sketchy, but those same peo...

Re: INTRO THREAD THE THIRD

Hello everybody! I've loved the comic for a long time, and I had no idea there was a forum! I'm exited to talk to you people about all sorts of fun stuff! I don't know much about computers, I'm more of an art person, but maybe I'll learn something by hanging out here.
