I liked Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift
The Time Machine H. G. Wells
The Count of Monte Cristo Alexandre dumas
The War of the Worlds by H. G. Wells
and of course, 1984 by George Orwell which i reread when Bush was president and thought he was taking instructions from it. :)
