Re: Crazy Conversations with Cleverbot- the AI

Sepeaking of rocky horror....

Me: Don't get strung out by the way I look.

Cleverbot: Don't judge a book by it's cover.

Me: I'm not much of a man by the light of day.

Cleverbot: But by night I'm one hell of a lover.

Me: I'm just a sweet transvestite.

Cleverbot: And I am a purple giraffe.

Re: Is knowledge justified true belief?

I guess that is where we fundamentally differ. I appreciate and understand you point but, i discarded philosophy that doesn't give us certainty in our answers. There are so many things that we don't know and can find out. Maybe one day we'll know all that and it will be time to hypothetical explore ...

Re: Is knowledge justified true belief?

Yes, I was a little vague on the maths front. Indeed maths requires axioms, Such as If a+b = c then b + a = c. My main point to put it simply is this. Knowledge doesn't have to be true. It just needs to explain out sense data. The only "Truths" of value are attainable through logic. If som...

Re: Is knowledge justified true belief?

If you can't understand the argument, and the simple logic of it there's no helping you. If you don't understand you wont agree, that's fine. If you're capable of understanding it you will agree. I know that sounds arrogant but its just one of those things either you get it or you don't. You think j...

Re: Is knowledge justified true belief?

Justified true belief is a nice easy definition, but that's not what knowledge is. Knowledge doesn't have to be "true" the definition most people have of it anyway. To go with a pure science approach, Knowledge is the belief that accurately explains all the evidence. Truth requires no evide...

Re: Lightbulb

Am I missing something as this seems absurdly simple.

3 lightswitches. A light in your room a light in the other.

press each lightswitch finding out which lightswitch turns on the light in your room. Lat's Call this A

Now press B

look in the other room if light is on its B if it's off it's C.
