Re: Basic sin(x)cos(x)dx integral question

Well for a start you can't integrate with respect to a variable that also serves as a limit. When you make the substitution you should get the upper limit as [imath]{\omega}T[/imath], not u.

But I do also get 0. So it's not all bad.

Re: Starcraft 2 : The Dune II Clone

And be careful of suicide runs of magic boxed units. A dispersed group of marines with combat shields can stim and charge your banelines, taking them out 2:1. This puts you at a net loss of 50 minerals and 50 gas for each marine that is successful. It's even worse if they use marauders. I haven't a...

I still don't understand what the US is actually supposed to be doing there, militarily. We are not trying to overthrow Ghadafi and initiate regime change, but we are impeding his military effort to quell a rebellion in a country in which he is the leader. So are we just trying to keep non-combatan...

Re: Starcraft 2 : The Space-Themed Warcraft 3

Well, higher dps means that infestors can be more effectively used as a damage dealer and thus potentially more worth their cost. It depends on whether the dps outweighs the lost utility of the shorter root time, which I think it probably does. You still only get a maximum of two fungal growths of ...

People are ignoring the fact that against unarmoured units the d/e (damage/energy) stays the same and goes up by 30% against armoured. Looking at dps is sort of pointless. Especially when the basis for the dps increase is the units getting freed sooner.

People tell me I need to. I keep meaning to. Hmm, but you would still be using up the same amount of supply per minerals mined. It's just that T can do it faster on the same number of patches. It also means T will mine out -so- much faster (even more so than with mules now). For some reason I had it...

MULE -Permanent. -Two supply. -Mineral mining capability reduced. Fixes broken MULEs. It also has the bonus of making Calldown Supply possibly useful on...

When you have just defended an attack. Same caveats as expanding. if you crush an attack, go see if they have some defense. I mean, questionable unit composition plus a smaller army (in every way, minerals, gas, food* and tech!) doesn't exactly seem like a sound plan. 4 separate attacks are clearly far less effective than 1 big one so I'm not going in to that yet.
