Does anyone know how Netlix distributes its income back to hollywood movie companies? Or in other words: Do movie companies only get paid by Netflix when you watch their movies, or do they automatically get a share of your subscription, regardless what you watch?

Am I the only one who has trouble telling these parenthesis ( ) and these parenthesis { } apart?
