Re: 1205: "Is It Worth the Time?"

I really can't think of any routine task that I do 5 times per day and which has the potential of being shortened by one hour. Can anyone?

Re: 1110:"Click and Drag"

Anyone else got the idea to choose a portion of the comic as their Facebook title pic? Mine is here: http://facebook.com/zwergwerker but I guess there are dozens of other suitable choices. Which are your favorites? (Don't forget to include a backlink to the xkcd website in the image description!)

Not sure why this is coming to my mind right now, but I'd like recommend this movie to you: "Thirteen Lakes" by James Benning. Rarely screened because of its experimental nature, but stunningly beautiful and definitely to be watched on the big screen (i.e. not at home). Here's kind of a re...

(By the way, have a look at the comic this discussion thread is referring to.)

Re: 0969: "Delta-P"

In order to see this easily I had to open the main page in Chrome, right click the image and choose "open image in new tab." For Firefox, right-clicking the image and then chosing the first menu item (must be "Show image" or similar, I'm using the German l10n) works fine. BTW, &...

Come on, let's compile a list of movies that have a plot twist near the end which makes you think: "I have to watch this movie again, checking if I could've anticipated that twist if I had paid more attention!" ⋅  Fight Club ("Where is my mind?" ;-)) ⋅  The Si...

Re: 891: Movie Ages

My first movie I watched in a movie theater was "Watership Down" in 1979. Being 5 years old then, it obviously wasn't a good idea of my dad taking me there. However, my second movie, "E.T." (3 years later) still scared me during some scenes. Regarding feeling old, I can tell you ...

Of course, Randall is fully aware of that fact. My guess is that he just wanted to use the literary technique of an unreliable narrator in the alt text. Well done.
