Re: 1047: "Approximations"

The fundamental charge one is wrong (and I'm surprised no one has mentioned it?).

3/(14*π^π^π) = 2.6566x10-6 C

So I guessed maybe a typo and tried:

3/((14π)^π^π) = 1.8139x10-16 C

Which is closer in comparison, but still no where near.

Re: #903: Extended MInd

In reverse order: Hmm, Philosophy -> Reason -> Rationality -> Philosophy We should totally make an application which scrapes all the first links in all wikipedia articles and finds all the loops and then determines what percentage of articles are directed to each loop. For science. And so we know h...

Re: "Hyphen" discussion.

If I am speaking to someone who I know reads XKCD I make sure I move the hyphen one word to the left when I speak.

eg, "That's a-sweet ass car"

Then I'm covered.

Re: X Girls Y Cups Discussion

Anhow, maybe we should start a "Cup Roll - in a Rickroll" vid. A video that seems to be "Never gonna give you up but switches to 2g1c. *blinks* Ok, my mind is taking strange turns again. Better not do that or it's really gonna happen. *shiver* We will call it... Rickroll in a cup! Tw...

Re: X Girls Y Cups Discussion

I just can't enjoy the comic knowing the axises are improperly labeled. Doesn't Randall know he'll loose points? Good god man it's like 2 or 3 at the least! They are not labelled wrong! Any choice of co-ordinates/variables is completely arbitrary. Just because he has used the variable "x"...

Even if this was a graph this would be entirely irrelevant as variables are completely arbitrary.

We did a similar thing in highschool... We got a mate, Psirhc, to go to the register with a combination of items. I believe it was Lube, A large Cucumber and Tissues (the third item is the one I'm unsure of). However we didn't give him enough money for all three so that when the cashier told him the...

You can fix this by specifying the exact algorithm the host follows. "The host always picks and opens a door that is empty, and you know this", or "The host always opens a door at random. This time you got an empty door." An entirely valid point except that the idea of the "...
