It's clearly not feasible by a human, but I wonder how long a supercomputer would take to solve this one.

I was procrastinating for a few hours and got this far until I decided I needed to reevaluate how to spend my time.

Re: 1217: "Cells"

I worked with human cells on a petri dish. The thing is, human cells don't really like to live outside a human body. Cancer cells or not, to me it seemed that giving them a stern look is enough to kill the little guys. NEWEST MIRACLE CURE FOR CANCER, stern looks! Antior baffles scientists with this...

Many of you keep saying that couple only means two, then how come "me and a couple of friends" is widely used as more than two friends? Just try googling "me and a couple of friends" http://www.myspace.com/ClassyProfessional/photos/1436612 http://public.fotki.com/MsFierceIntellec...

I don't know why but people using the word literally as hyperbole gets up my goat (figuratively). Why not just forgot about the word and do without it. My head, literally exploded. As opposed to, My head exploded. In my view is less effective as one has to pause instead of free flowing with the sen...

Wait, what's the rule here? Any mention of having a girlfriend is taboo, or only if your voice actually gets louder when you say it? I mean, if I said "Avatar? I saw it last week with my brother." no one would object, right? If not, then surely "I saw it last week with my girlfriend&...

Re: Is it unethical to tell a dying child that he will be cured?

I agree that it depends on the child. How old it is and what reaction it would have. If its a small child who would fall into despair by hearing it was supposed to die, i think it would be terrible to tell it. And then it would be the parents responsibility to figure out what is really important for...

Re: "We Get It" Discussion

Also, for requisite "get out of my head"-ness, when I was in college we had a running gag similar to this. At some point, people got annoyed with this one guy always saying "Hey guys, I'm going to go <do something> with my girlfriend," so we asked that he just shorten it to &quo...
