Battlenet league placement is so arbitrary. I finally did my 2v2 random placement (I 2v2d with a friend before), went WWWWL and got diamond.

I lost all my season 2 placement matches, got 1v1P 2v2P 3v3D 4v4D. Very arbitrary.
