I stopped reading 8-bit Theater about halfway through the archive for reasons other people have mentioned (got old, flat characters, frustratingly anti-climatic, etc). However, I recently went back and read through the whole comic and actually enjoyed it, though I can't quite explain why.

The scary part is that this is always a possibility given the tenative and incomplete nature of scientific understanding, its reliance on assumptions such as "like effects, therefore like causes" and determinism, the Cartesian uncertainty of human empiricism and intuition... Still, neat toy.
