Re: Minecraft
I haven't logged in in probably at least 3 years, and my little island doesn't seem to have changed at all. At least according to the map. Neat.

According to Smithsonian Magazine, there have been over 300,000 books written about Napoleon Bonapart, the equivalent of 4 per day since he died. That's kind of nuts.

Also, scary for having that person in your house. Yea, a bit. Well, this just gets more and more exciting. Apparently the guy who he fired, he's now discovered has absconded with the money he was given to purchase materials, and can't be gotten a hold of. I've done an inventory of my house and nothing else seems to be missing, thankfully. So weird.

Personally, I was only mildly addicted, but e-cigs and vaporizers helped a lot. My dad was much more addicted than I was and also used a vaporizer to effectively quit. He's down to very low nicotine juice now, and only smokes on his birthday. It's been about four years for him, and 18 months for me.

Some American police departments do too, but that technology is pretty controversial here.Adacore wrote:In the UK, I believe most police traffic cars are fitted with cameras and a computer system which automatically performs a registration and insurance check on every license plate they see.

Re: Rant Thread : For all your obscenity screaming needs
I suspect the reason registration stickers are still a thing in much of the US is three-fold:
1) Easy way for the car owner to check when they need to renew
2) "It's how it's always been done"
3) Having expired tags gives police the reasonable suspicion needed to conduct a terry stop.
