Re: Anime Thread of Doom
Boyfriend and I watched the first episode, and thought it seemed charming, but not enough to prioritise it above the many other things we're watching together (including, on the thread topic, Sakura Quest, March Comes in Like a Lion, ACCA: 13-Territory Inspection Dept., and My Hero Academia). Probab...

Re: Santa Claus
When I spent Christmas away from home Santa came early to deliver stockings that I took with me for the day itself.
We've never openly discussed Santa not being real? I don't want to risk losing my socks and chocolate, you know.

I don't disagree, in the specific context, really? It's just a little incongruous, thematically, to try and do 'aliens as persecuted minority' and ALSO 'aliens as faceless evil army', to me. If that makes sense. Also yes obviously lena/kara forever (also winn is so gay f...

We started watching this this weekend! Three eps in, loving it. Read the book, but a while ago, long enough that I've forgotten entire characters, apparently (Mad Sweeney). I'd forgotten they'd cast Gillian Anderson and didn't actually notice until I saw her name in the credits. I like that they're ...

Re: So there is this guy who can run the fastest (The Flash)
I stopped watching a few episodes into season three, not been feeling it for a while, but I dropped back in solely for the musical episode and it was a lot of fun, very silly, didn't really make sense if you thought about it at all, but I had a good time. (I am still watching Supergirl but am really...

Would you believe the dragon was easier than the sloth? It's intricate, but all the folds are actually pretty simple. The sloth was a nightmare, my first attempt managed to split completely in half.

I have two: 1) Incorrect pluralisation of pokémon (and individual pokémon names). The word pokémon and each individual pokémon name are singular and plural. I looked this up at some point (I don't recall why) and in the UK at least someone born on February 29th legally turns 18 on the March 1st It makes more sense that way, whereas if you went out to a bar 'on your 18th birthday' on the 28th, well your ID says your birthday is the 29th, you're still 17 ...

Re: Pant Thread (because we need more panting)
My friend's ex got arrested in Kenya last week. Ostensibly for having the wrong work permit or something, but given that the rest of his volunteer group were fine we're guessing it has more to do with his being gay. He is home safe now, it's all fine. I've never even met the guy but the whole thing ...

I may be wrong, but I seem to recall someone whose mutant power was spontaneously catching fire (like the Human Torch) but without the required secondary power of immunity to fire.
