Re: Inception

Kael: The Paris sequence was Ariadne's dream, and it was Cobb's subconscious that filled it. I think it was Cobb's dream? Because when Ariadne was messing with things, the subconscious were antagonistic towards her which means they were detecting an intruder. And that won't make sense if it was Ari...

Re: Movie martial arts/fight scenes

For lovers of martial arts/fight scenes, I highly recommend Chocolate . It's a Thai movie reminiscent of Jet Li's (probably coz the protagonist patterned her fighting style with that of Jet Li's). Anyhoo, it was a great film in general. Did you mean this Chocolate Fighter ? The Chocholate you linke...

Re: Futurama

Episode 5 - The Duh-Vinci Code was the best so far this season. I hope they keep up with this though. I was getting tired of all those commentary-type episodes they were going for in the earlier eps.

Re: Inception

By the way, here's another puzzle to chew on: When the car in Streets entered free-fall, everything in Hotel became weightless. This was, of course, awesome. But why wouldn't the effect carry over into Snow Fortress? If your experience in level N is based on your body's conditions in level ...

Re: Inception

I understood the rule for Limbo as being... ...you could wake up from it by dying, but the danger of limbo was that in Limbo, you forget you're in a dream. It seems perfectly real, and it lasts a lifetime. Why would you kill yourself? Thus Cobb lying on the train tracks was equally as insane a ...

Re: Inception

Edit: I put this first because it's actually my main question: What does Ariadne say to Cobb right before she jumps off the balcony? That seemed important, but I couldn't make it out! :? "Don't lose yourself." That's what I can recall on top of my head right now but of course, I might be ...

Re: Audiobooks

I'm afraid I've never managed to get the hang of audiobooks. I zone out easily, which happens with traditional books too, but I can easily read back over a previous paragraph once I notice that I haven't been absorbing the words. The time wasted fumbling for a wind-back is my biggest problem with a...

Re: Famous literary protagonists that are actually total gon

Nick Carroway of The Great Gatsby . The entire cast, really. There is not a single sympathetic character in the cast. Gatsby's no better, and the Buchanans are obviously total cuntshits. I realize this is the 20s and Fitzgerald is yelling about the moral corruption, but Nick and Gatsby are supposed...

Re: Inception

Have you guys read Inception: The Cobol Job ? It's the prologue comic and it's very interesting. Kinda confusing at first but I guess (and hope) that it would provide very good intel for the movie. Re: Firefly & Serenity (Use Spoilers!)

Guys. Spoilers. Yeah, Firefly and Serenity are getting a bit old news, but that's the rule we decided on. There's no way to reverse Wash's death without it feeling cheap, honestly. I mean, it's not like "oh, he fell off of a spaceship, but he was saved" it's like "oh,...

Re: Scott Pilgrim Vs The world (the movie or the comic)

Never heard of this until I saw the trailer right now. Seems really cool! Just a few questions though: - Why exactly does he agree to fight her exes (ex's?)? Why doesn't he just go 'Ah, screw this!' Because he really likes Ramona Flowers. It's a story of love, really albeit on the insane part of it...

Re: Scott Pilgrim Vs The world (the movie or the comic)

Agreed with Mike, with respect to Michael Cera. Comicy question: Volume 6 is not out yet, right? And how many volumes are there going to be in total? One would think at least seven. Volume 6 will be the last volume. I heard that the movie and comics would have different endings ergo, a different se...

Interesting. I want to watch the whole series but it just fails to grab my attention every time. I'll probably have to rewatch all the previous episodes before proceeding to this one.
