In RP, are the words court and cot homophones? What about court and caught? Besides RP, any other non-rhotic dialects where these are homophones?

I've seen Parts: The Clonus Horror, but I haven't seen The Island. In the start of Clonus, there are young people living in an institution. They perform many physical fitness exercises. They await a day when they can pass all fitness exams and go to America. There is no virtual reality. The staff at...

I do. Walk shouldn't sound like wok. Tick talk isn't the same as tick-tock. Also balk, Falkner, caulk. These don't rhyme with bock, Fockner, cock. I didn't know it was unusual. However, with a heavy southern accent (or maybe it's the Appalachian accent I mentioned earlier) I've also heard people fro...

I got a new solid state storage device for my personal computer. It was long and narrow, in two pieces that were loosely joined by wires or a hinge. Been playing Risk of Rain today. I find it quite difficult. I think at last I am improving. Unlocked two characters, bringing my total to four. Do you pronounce "bazaar" and "bizarre" the same way? I do. /bəzɑɹ/. Dictionaries say that "bizarre" is /bɪzɑɹ/. That's the weak vowel merger. Typically, American English merges most (though not all) cases of unstressed [ɪ] into [ǝ], whereas British English tends to ke...

I've heard people say that becoming lucid (i.e. realising they're dreaming) makes them more able to control their dreams. That never works for me. I get that. I just mean that it seems international observers should be wary of how many people in these rings are going to resist vaccination when the time comes to administer it. It would be a shame to get our hopes up only to see widespread resistance when the next epidemic begins.

Yeah. The point is that PM is a hack for a single game only. PM is extremely popular, as far as video game hacks go, which means it's very obscure to most of the general public and nowhere near as popular as Nintendo's official products are. Furthermore, the use of the term "PM" on Miivers...
