Re: Sleep-time holodeck experiences

On older man and woman (who was very much like Jessica Tandy) lived across the hall from each other in an urban building. I younger man lived in the same building. The younger man was nicknamed "Shakes" because he would appear to shiver often (and looked exactly like John C. Reilly). Also,...

Re: Controversial opinions about food

Why do they put salt on the peanut shells? The shell is discarded and what is inside the shell is eaten. If you want salt on your peanuts, shouldn't it be applied to the peanuts instead of the part that's discarded? That just discards the salt as well.

Re: Thoughts for ships

About two years ago I built a new PC. It was my first custom build, and it turned out fine. The OS is installed on a solid state drive, and the HDD is used only for storage, mostly for games, but also some movies and music and pictures and other miscellany. But I have had a problem with Windows 10 s...

I'm still interested in this game, and I'm glad to see that it's gotten a positive reception after its full release. I read somewhere that it had 14 years in development, which is quite a long time, but I'm impressed to see such a successful result. Early access games usually don't give me high hope...

I wanted to trade in my car and buy a new one, so I just gave to the keys to a friend (who was kind of like James Franco) to do it for me. I told him not to get the same model of car, but to just get another car like it. Later, I saw the new car he decided to buy, and it was nothing like the 4-door ...

Re: 2076: "Horror Movies 2"

I'd consider Chinatown's ending a downer ending. The protagonist gains nothing, and loses his love interest. The villain gets away with his scheme unpunished, but loses his daughter. She is revealed to have lived a very troubled life, and dies after she sees hope of being able to escape that life. T...

Re: Blistering blue barnacles

I mean there is no continuity across the relay coil. The relay is 24VDC and I don't have a readily available power source for that kind of test. I could probably replace a transistor, or a resistor, or a capacitor, or something else, if I knew how to troubleshoot the PCB and find the faulty componen...

Re: Blistering blue barnacles

My oven stopped working a few days ago. The bottom element won't heat. I checked the element, and it seems fine, since it has continuity and will actually get hot if short circuited. I thought I had it trouble-shooted (trouble-shot?) down to a nonfunctional relay. I ordered an identical relay and re...
