Re: Dragon Age 2

Isabela rocks so far, only just got her. Merril's story is fun. I liked Varric but having two rogues is probably not that smart. Need tank. So that's Aveline I guess? My Hawke's a mage. Noone has healing so far though. lol. It's somewhat annoying that Aveline is the only option for a shield using t...

Re: Mass Effect 2.

Actually I never thought about how the krogan and Salarians reproductive traits would play into how they hide their females. And now that I think about it, wasn't one of the quests in ME2 about a poet krogan and an asari, and the asari had a doubt where she was afraid the krogan only liked her b/c ...

Re: Is anti-matter in all respects identical to matter?

The only fundamental difference between matter and antimatter is that matter is much more abundant in our universe. No no no! Antimatter is clearly more sciencey and cooler sounding than matter, therefore it's clearly better than matter. More on topic, yeah. Antimatter and matter are pretty much th...

The closest you get to a female krogan is covered in a sheet. But the sheet outline did look krogan... Actually there's a female Krogan ambassador on Tuchanka. You can select her and she pretty much tells you that but it doesn't start an actual conversation. She's up next to the Shaman and she look...

Re: WoWzers!

Hybrids have stopped really being hybrids. Once you're in combat you're spec is what you are. An ele shaman or ret pally CAN toss heals but it's going to end up a waste of mana with very little gain in Cata. The scaling just doesn't support it. Even a kitty druid going into bear form to try to pick ...

That seems... kind of insulting. In meatspace, getting equal recognition for homosexual relationships is a sensitive issue for a lot of people. It's hardly inconceivable, then, that people get a bit annoyed when gay relationships in fantasyland don't get recognised, either. Also, the fact that you ...

There was a Marvel one in the works, then they pulled out, so it became Champions Online and is pretty rubbish. High ilvl gear only trivializes a dungeon if everyone has it. Unfortunately pugs never have as good of gear as I do (ilvl 349, tuned mostly toward regen as a holy priest). The first time I successfully healed a heroic on my shammie was when I had an ilvl of 340, but the tank was a paladin who dropped some self heals. A very long time. To give you an idea, in one gram of carbon, there are 5 \times 10^{22} atoms, (roughly 250 times as much as there are grains of sand over the whole Earth) and there are many grams of carbon in a human. Aye, I realize this and I know there's no way to judge how many total atoms are...

Molecular reconstruction question

Ok, this question doesn't have an actual concrete answer I don't think, but it's been buggin' the hell out of me since I read a comic that pertained to it. Basically, I'm curious about how long it would take to molecularly reconstruct an average fully grown human from the base atoms O, H, N, C, and ...

It isn't necessarily leveling, it's character progression. The problem is that MMOs rarely have any other kind of progression (EVE has economic progression, in a sense, but that's really just character progression you can lose), so you'd need to make the gameplay meaningful without having it actual...
