Re: Riddle

That audio sounds a lot like what you'd hear from old dial up modems just as it was starting to connect... But at a much, much lower bitrate. There's several 'words' in there, if we can assume that's what each of the distinct patterns heard through the audio are. Now, dial-up chirps were nothing els...

Re: What is the smallest object that has gravity?

It's not just the mass of the object that you need to think about... Any amount (mass) of material will have some gravitational pull to it, but the key thing, assuming your intention is to be drawn into its gravity well, is to consider its gravitational pull in relation to the pull of other objects ...

Re: Kerbal Space Program

We're not going to support the current patcher anymore. We're working on a completely new one, and in the meantime, we've made the game available as a full download from Amazon. Should be quicker and much less painful to just download a 400mb-ish zip file.

Thanks for not pirating the game. :)

I'm a lead game developer on an indie project. My usual day depends a lot on the season. I'm pretty sure on a volume that large, there would not only be wind, but many other weather effects as well. NASA's Vehicle Assembly Building in Kennady Space Center, is the largest (in volume) building in the world, and micro weather phenomena have been observed inside it's volume. So it's pretty ...

MMORPG, RTS, and FPS games usually are fun enough to lower skill casual players that producing such games is profitable, or, at the very least, financially solvent; I'm not sure that a complex space flight game would have a sufficiently large appeal. Realistic space flight in games

Hello, I've been meaning to ask this... What other games, besides Orbiter , have actual realistic space flight? Not many, I imagine... Now why is that? If you're looking for a realistic military experience, you gotta try ArmA 2 . This isn't your average run-n'-gun FPS where you go on spraying fire at everything that moves. It's a military simulation where tactics and field strategy are what counts. In most shooters, the average engagement distance ...
