Re: Minecraft

In the spirit of people coming back from long breaks... howdy everyone :D

Pleasantly surprised to see ST's server still running, even if it's a little empty. I'm guessing most of the activity's going on in MIASACraft then? I don't know if infina's around for whitelist adding, but I sent a PM.

So emachine and I finished the outer structure of the Pandora City Hall today, all that's left is the interior and some landscape work near it. If anyone wants to check it out, it's down the road past the cathedral. Also, can someone whitelist my other brother? His username is slacker4life200. EDIT:...

Re: World simulator games?

I would second Paradox games. For a specific suggestion, Europa Universalis 3 is an excellent starting point to the grand strategy genre, and it's probably the easiest game in Paradox's lineup to get into. I would recommend getting the edition with all of the expansions (Chronicles? I'm not sure whi...

I've decided to build a Pandora town hall when ST's server gets back online. I managed to get an outline and some landscaping done before the server crashed, and hopefully I'll be able to finish the project up while I'm on spring break.

Re: FIRST Robotics thread

My first thoughts on the game are that the relative lack of rules is very nice, and that drivetrain design is going to be important to climbing the see-saws, which is also nice. It also seems a bit less complex than previous games. This is my last year as a student on 1306 in Madison, WI, so hopeful...

Well, resource-wise stone is 7 stacks better than snow, but farming snowballs is quicker than AFKing at a cobble jenny for long periods of time. Snow also has the benefit of being easy to destroy, which is good for prototyping. Also, I wonder if there could be an area for snow farming, so they don't...

Re: Filesharing legal for personal use, guess the country

Making companies unable to sell to a large portion of consumers would be akin to sabotaging a semi full of music discs or DDOSing iTunes. File sharing only creates a free, higher-risk, parallel method of getting content, it does not block access to that content for anyone else. The price difference...

I'd say that blue is the hardest to farm, and its still a pretty common color, unlike something like brown that's supposed to be extra-rare. Red/yellow and their derivatives can be farmed really easily with bonemeal.
