Re: "Papyrus" Discussion

I hate Papyrus so much. This year the editor of the school newspaper decided it would look 'professional but laid-back' if we used it as every stinking headline. I stopped reading the school newspaper this year. Also: I complain about misuse of Papyrus so frequently that my mother understood and lau...

Re: University Funding

You, well, others with your problem since it seems you now have it handled, might look into going to a local college for a year or two and getting most of your general education credits out of the way, then going to your 'ideal college'. Local colleges are often cheaper and often have lower scholars...

It implies that I would love to learn! But as of yet have only built my own computer and modded a few store-bought mods to make it glow pink.

Re: "11th Grade" Discussion

The futility of 11th grade is nothing compared to knowing that you could have taken a couple college classes in the summer for free (staff discount) and graduated a year early, but were not allowed to because your mother didn't want you to 'miss your senior year'. Senior year, specifically pep ralli...

Re: "New Pet" Discussion

I don't think everyone here actually understands the concept of a hamster ball (it's a little strange if you haven't actually seen or used one). You put a living hamster inside of it and the hamster runs around for exercise. It therefore must have breathing slits. A quick google image search for 'ha...

Re: "New Pet" Discussion

Where I live we don't HAVE hamster balls, so I've never seen one IRL. I had a few questions which would affect my verdict of the design. 1. What kind of plastic is used? 2. Does it need inflating all the time? 3. What kind of guarantee do I get on it maintaining its transparency levels. Firstly, wh...

Re: "New Pet" Discussion

Since there is no ventilation at all, the computer should emit as little heat as possible. Actually, hamster balls do have ventilation. There are small breathing slits all over the ball, otherwise there would be lots of dead hamsters and sad children in the world. :( Note: The slits may mess up the...

Re: "New Pet" Discussion

I also have an idea as to how it can recharge by itself. I'm thinking two spots of the ball are replaced with a conductive material. The bot goes into a docking station which holds it in place and then spins it's wheels until the two conductive plates are at the right position. Then an electromagne...

I know, it's stupid that they rate it as having too low a reading level, but it's based on vocabulary, not how thought-provoking it is.

The paranoid girlfriends thing is very true. It also makes it far harder to hide new relationships from exes. (Er, that's more than one ex, not from binary code. Nobody can hide from binary code.) The solution is to set your feed not to show when you remove your relationship status, then you can ma...
