Re: 'Christmas Back Home' discussion

My parents always think that I have been sleeping for 12+ hours if I wake up late morning/early afternoon. Moving back home for christmas has been nothing but trouble for my sleeping schedule. I am still going to bed around 5am but I am waking up at 9 to make sure they don't start thinking I'm lazy.

Oh, boy, a programming language war on xkcd! This should be fun. My favorite language is INTERCAL . Hey, it's Turing-complete. ;-) I posted this comic to the local Python SIG's mailing list; they should get a chuckle out of it. That Wikipedia article on INTERCAL was one of the funnier articles I ha...

Re: Getting Out of Hand

I just had to check XKCD before I went to bed on Wednesday. I ended up spending an extra 2 hours up on Wikipedia because of the comic, losing a lot of sleep before my midterm the next morning. Sometimes I think Wikipedia should have some sort of system implemented to stop me from getting so distract...

Re: Stephen Colbert for president?

Sorry, but without playing that game, nothing would get done. You seem to be attributing a great deal of power to the executive branch that it simply does not have. Not without at least a majority in both the senate and the house, that is. I agree with you. I was waiting for someone to say somethin...

Re: Stephen Colbert for president?

No neither Stewart nor Colbert would make a very good President. Colbert because as he himself has said is not particularily politcally savvy, and most of what he says is not written or thought up by he himself but rather writers (ofcourse he is I would think the main writer but none the less, you ...
