Re: Things you remember watching but can't remember the name

Okay, I'm trying to remember a science-fiction film I saw many years ago. I'm pretty sure it was set in present day and was about a group of people from Earth who somehow got caught up in space travel and aliens and such. They might have been trying to help save a race of aliens, but I'm not exactly...

Re: Post your handwriting!

Here's a couple examples of my handwriting. The first is my favorite quote from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, and the second is the opening line to three books that I grabbed off of my bookshelf. http://i54.tinypic.com/34jdpjc.jpg http://i55.tinypic.com/2clnyq.jpg

Re: Things you remember watching but can't remember the name

Okay, this is a scene from something I saw on TV when I was very little (in the late 90s). I don't know if it's from a TV show or a movie though, I just remember that it terrified the shit out of me and for some reason I want to find out what it was. Okay, there are two guys and one has been locked ...

Re: What were your dreams last night?

I had a dream last night that can only be accurately described as a cross between Star Wars and The Hunger Games. And it took place on my college campus.

I just really don't know about my subconscious sometimes.

Re: American English Dialects

I'm from Georgia (born and raised there) so I have a Southern-ish accent. It's not a heavy drawl, but I do say y'all; it's less Foghorn Leghorn and more Scarlett O'Hara (although I have never in my life uttered the phrase "I do declare"!). And yes, I pronounce don and dawn the same; down i...

Re: College (American) Football

Well, for the second week in a row, the Bulldogs actually showed up to play the game, and oh man what an awesome win that was! (sorry to anyone who's a Vanderbilt fan!).

If this keeps up then it looks like Mark Richt won't have to worry about job security for next year.

Re: INTRO THREAD THE THIRD

Pff, RotJ will always be my favorite movie of all time (Ewoks and all), mainly because Luke is all JEDIPOWERSRAWR and totally badass and I've been in love with him since the age of three . Objectively, I know it's not the best out of the trilogy but it's still my favorite. AND OF COURSE HAN SHOT...

Re: INTRO THREAD THE THIRD

I'm Sarah, I'm 19 and live in Georgia (currently going to school at UGA). I LOVE Star Wars (to an obsessive degree); as in, I have the opening crawls and all the alien dialogue from the OT memorized because I've watched them so much (especiialy RotJ, my favorite movie of all time). I also love Star ...

Re: Has anyone seen "The Big Bang Theory"?

Haha the title of this thread seems ludicrous! As if the kind of people who really enjoy xkcd wouldn't have tuned into a show about physicists =P I love it. Though yes, quite disappointing when no one in my physics class is quite the same as Sheldon. I've seen 10 minutes of it roughly, and would ra...
