Re: 1190: "Time"

Quick update: page 380 out of 1389 ... down to 1009 pages to go. At this rate ... I don't want to think when I'll finish. Megan is commaing on the middle level of the sandcastle and a little face is just about to peek in from the edge to look at her. I am quite frankly amazed at: a. the amount of ba...

Re: 1190: "Time"

Questing onwards - page 344 out of 1385; the dyke has just breached so Megan and Cueball are ... building on the highest level. I'm pausing to leave this message because: ... ... One on't cross beams gone owt askew on treadle! Well what on earth does that mean? Okay, so a treadle is the pedal-thing ...

Re: 1190: "Time"

I don't know if you have seen the video linked from this page ... it is not a site I would naturally trust, but the video does look like it is real (although any comments from the group here would be interesting). It purports to shows the effects of a tsunami wave on a river a bit away from the coas...

Re: 1190: "Time"

I went back and re-watched them build the structure at the top of the platform. It appears to me that it may not necessarily be attached to the platform, but merely resting on top of it. Do you think it's possible that it's a boat that can simply float away from the platform if the sea level rises ...

Re: 1190: "Time"

My quest continues - I am at page 300 out of 1373 ... 1373?? Really??? The future recedes as I walk towards it! I am glad I missed being here for the Madness. I can see that there was a lot of fun to be had, but the sheer frustration of the changes would have driven me away from this needle-pulled t...

Back on page 253, just after Megan fetches the first pole:

So when the flood comes they'll escape from this lost island.

This must surely be one of the best predictions made on the entire thread!

Re: 1190: "Time"

One thing I do miss ... a 'like' button; there seems little point in quoting months-old threads just to say I like them but hopefully I can use Dracomax's and fhorn's words as my sig after this post :)

Hi BlitzGirl. I did post a while back ... but you may have skipped a bit :) I'm only back here because I need 5 posts before I can add a sig line, and so far have only made 4 (including this one).

Re: 1190: "Time"

Dear Timewaiters, Cardinals, Popes et al, Firstly, thanks for the welcoming cakes, they were delicious. Secondly I am having a go at a ketchup ... up to page 230 so far, but I fear you are still creating new posts faster than I am reading them. I will carry on blitzing ... primarily to see the socia...

Re: 1190: "Time"

Just popping by to say: 1. I thought the original Time comic was quite zen like ... and moved on. 2. I thought it strange that the "Time" thread here was so active but never went there - I rarely visit the fora. 3. Discovered what was happening about a week ago, so saw the ending of time. ...

Re: "Southern Half" discussion (#753)

Re North / South division: you may like to read "Nation" by Terry Pratchett for a different spin on the globe. It is described as a book for 'young adults', but I thoroughly recommend it for all adults.
