I'm doing some summer homework for an AP Statistics class I'll be taking this year, and am having trouble with a problem After surveying 995 adults, 81.5% of whom were over 30, the National Sleep Foundation reported that 36.8% of all the adults snored. 32% of the respondents were snorers over the a...

### Re: Theoretical Reversed Logic Gates

What's the point in a gate where the output doesn't depend on the input (NRAND)? I think the tables are supposed to be read the other way around - ie the states are in columns, with the input above the line and outputs below the line. So the NRAND gate has two outputs, both of which match its input...

### Re: Interesting Problem in Graph Algorithm

I have tried to solve this problem by greedy algorithm, but this is not right, since I've found another path with less total distance than the total distance given by the greedy solution. But I think the solution must use dynamic programming approach. But I need to determine the sub problems first ...

### Re: Help with basic C++ (game of nim)

In addition to the problem b1ackcat mentioned, you have a logic issue as well.
You need to use

Code: Select all

`if(heapChoice != 'a' && heapChoice != 'b' && heapChoice != 'c')`

instead of ||

the way you originally had it will always evaluate to false.

I think I may be missing something here, but here's my take on it. How about instead of cutting it into certain shapes or however you'd like to cut it, you could turn it on it's side and cut it along the horizontal. If the spot of poison was in the centre then you'd have a piece (A ...

There was also an old top-scrolling screen-by-screen action/adventure game where you played as Thor and had his mighty hammer. There were some puzzles and a lot of beating in three chapters. The first chapter was released as shareware. Anyone remember the name of it? God of Thunder? Loved that game!
