### met XKCD t-shirt boy

Hi, I have one of these "SCIENCE" green XKCD t-shirts (there's my picture in this forum somewhere i think) and when I came out of the cinema in the shopping center in Dublin today, I saw a guy entering it and wearing the same (except it was the male version). Too bad I wasn't wearing mine,...

Thanks for the help. When the time should exceed 100, then it is 100. Same if it should be below 0. For example: First arrives after 82 mins of waiting. Second arrives 99 mins AFTER that. d0 = 99 For the third one, you will wait between 89 and 100 mins (not 109). Say it arrives after 100. d1 = 100 F...

### mailbox checking

You are receiving 20 letters one by one in your mail box and they are very important, so you absolutely have to process each of them as soon as possible (can't wait to get a bunch of them and go pick them up all at once). However getting your ass up from your chair is annoying. This being a theoreti...

Cosmo : No it doesn't

We said a square is either diagonally adjacent to 2 others (a1+c3 populate b2) or laterally (a1 + b2 populate a2). But not a mix.

Your thing fills a 3x3 square that's all.

I have not found "manhatten" in Google or Wikipedia but I assume that just means non-diagonally adjacent. 5? I know the solution for "manhatten-only" (as you call it) was 8, and it works to put them along the diagonal. I can generate such a diagonal with 5 pieces in your new rule...

Never heard of Dr Who, but according to Wikipedia: "The Daleks have featured in computer games since the 1980s, beginning with an unlicensed modification of the Robots game called Daleks. " I know them from an ancient Macintosh game. Although I must admit that Wiki is not 100% reliable.

42 is not the meaning of life; it is the answer to the ultimate question. Quite different really. Hmm, I didn't read the book, but from popular culture I always thought the ultimate question was "the meaning of life, the universe, and everything", which would make 42 (or XKCD) the meaning...
