Re: Star Truck: Discovery

It's interesting because in the tribble episode of TOS, the humanish klingon cannot be detected via scan, only by tribble. Maybe they say they can detect the MODIFICATION but not the genetic thing that lead to the no ridges. I dunno, I agree it's grasping at straws.

Dragonball Super

Anybody else wade their way through a whole new level of powering up in the recently completed Dragonball: Super? I found it delightful. It was very nostalgic of DBZ and to a lesser extent the original dragonball. It flatly ignores GT, which is fine with me. DBZ ran when I was a lot less grizzled an...

Re: Star Truck: Discovery

There's an episode of Star Trek: Enterprise that explained why klingons didn't have ridges in TOS and why they did in TNG and later (and did in the prequel enterprise as well). Synopsis is they created a virus to genetically modify their appearance to better infiltrate humanity and it became an infe...

I don't believe they've had anything to say with the first season so far so it can't be that much worse in that regard. I also can't think of any other show that's felt so rushed and most shows I watch do end up picked for a second season so I don't think that really explains anything. Mostly it ju...

Re: Star Truck: Discovery

So next weekend is the season finale and I am still iffy on the show. It's not terrible but I just don't care about any of the characters or their universe. I think the problem is for all the twists and big reveals, there is never enough good build up. The doctor died before I had even learned his ...

Re: The worst film you've seen

Also, TLA the movie is definitely up there as the worst movie ever. Not only does it completely spit in the face of anything to do with the original series, but the acting is wooden and the CGI is awful. A legit contender. I still say putting a camera on a tripod and shooting paint dry for 2 hours ...

I am also not quite clear on why everyone is blaming the war on her. Seems to me that they made a connection between Michael's mutiny and generally aggressive behavior and Starfleet's failure to deescalate the situation. Perhaps we are left to assume Starfleet ran a smear campaign that set her up a...

Justice League and Justice League: Unlimited were great! What? Justice League: Unlimited they could have substituted batman and superman for Herra and Zeus. The episodes were like morality plays where wandering demigods learn how to behave like true heros in the human world before ascending back to...

They need to sit those executives in front of the batman and superman animated cartoons (not the justice league shit that came later) until they finally get it. This is what your characters are. You don't need to introduce them. Ignore prior shit and just give us the goods. Give us a superman who is...

This is the end, right? They can't go on from here. Is there anything they've announced after this? This should just have some kinda permanent universe altering climax which resets the universe back to pre-iron man normalcy right?

I don't know. Loot boxes are not gambling to me it's just pay to win. Pay to win is not illegal (like gambling in most contexts), it's just annoying. It doesn't foster a gaming community. Maybe your game doesn't have a community element (it's a single player tower defense or something) but if you wa...

I would defend MtG but recent sets have also started adding even-more-than-mythic rare cards, many of which are not even standard legal (typically modern) that they know will be able to fetch significant secondary market prices. Some may argue that this limited card influx allows them to carefully c...

A lot of taunts too. The Litch King is 8/8 for 8, has an end of turn effect, and presents an immediate removal threat not only due to it's offense but to it's card advantage... so they also needed to give it Taut. 8/8 taunt for 8 is a druid specialty that was not far out of reasonable play in many d...

New expansion adds pretty substantial endgame to all the classes as well as massive anti-aggro.
