Where does the mouse not work? Have you checked to see if PS/2 mice are enabled in the BIOS? I can't believe I'm registering to post about Kesha, but.. Apparently, she was quite a smart student. NPR says her 1500 was only math and reading of the SAT, and she was in an IB school. I just set Firefox to force-display Humor Sans as the font for all webpages. It looks like the handwriting in XKCD. It's very cool. On another note: I only now realized what it was that had been written on my arm in middle school...
