And agreed, Avelion's hair is made of awesomesauce (blue awesomesauce, in fact). Close, but not quite. It's only dyed with blue awesome sauce. For colorsl ike those I will only use Special Effects. Goldwell (professional haircolor) has a permanent fantasy color line, ranging from deep plum to highlighter yellow. I havent' tried them on a real person yet, but on a mannequin Oh me yarm WOW.

as far as generl terms go, orange hair, even when natural, is called "red". but if you wanted an artificial color, you can say orange and get that. Well, with Goldwell anyway. You might have to find a "copper gold" or "red gold" b/c each system calls it something differ...

Bleach is pretty awful for your hair but its a necessary evil sometimes. With Manic Panic, DEFINITELY BLEACH. Especially with the UV reactive colors. It looks so cool. The only time I'd really not use bleach on someone was if their hair was already beyond fried or they had some other chemical in it ...
