↶ I can't tell from your snippet whether this is the case; it depends on whether getting the child resources depends on whatever is async about getting the parent resource. Each child requires a remote web request to get. Basically, I have to wait for the parent's request to finish before I can get...

On the one hand, await is amazing, on the other hand writing stuff like this I'm not sure if I'm "Doing it right". Especially recursive awaiting to build a tree seems... I dunno, weird and probably not optimal. var resources = await DownloadData<List<Resource>>(relativeUrl); //GetResources...

Re: Coding: Fleeting Thoughts

I did think of one scenario for the upload... maybe they're assuming access to a file share or something.

Doesn't work for what I need if that's the case though since I don't have a network share to use that's accessible by the server, oh well.

Ok, sure, maybe if they had that documented somewhere I would totally believe that. But even if I assume it's undocumented, then why is the parameter for file path even there? I can't decide if I have a deep misuderstanding of how web requests work, or if this request can never work. Like, the only way I could see it working is if "base" points to a path on the server... right? Which makes it sort of useless, for, you know, uploading data to a server. Passing a ...

I mean, nullable value types are pretty useful...

Nullable booleans maybe less so, but even if they thought the value-add for those specifically was low, it'd be even weirder for only booleans to be exempt from the language feature.

I'm really of mixed opinions about Hyper Light Drifter. I think my biggest problem is that nailing consistent dashes is incredibly difficult. I'm really of mixed opinions about Hyper Light Drifter. The combat is great, and I've loved the first 3 boss fights so far, but there's a lot of tiny annoyances that add up. So "result" is either going to be null, or be an instance of whatever the database result class is. So if result is not null, then result.Rows would exist, and would have to be an array (or itself null, but that's likely contractually obliged to not happen), so it would have a .Count, whi...

Controlling a raid from software kinda defeats the point of a raid for file security in the event of a hardware failure. If the software's borked, so's your raid.
