Re: Batmanfia DAY ONE

Wow... the, uh, monocle-eyepatch thing actually works. I couldn't have called that.

And yeah, I'm not really getting bad vibes from anyone either; I guess my scumdar hasn't developed yet.

So... anyone for a game of canasta?

Re: You gotta get into Dwarf Fortress if you haven't already.

Hey, question: does magma harden into rock or something if it gets rained on? Because I was thinking about trying to make a magma moat or something around my fort. It's a long way off; I've been watching tutorial videos instead of actually playing, so I haven't even made proper bedrooms yet. But hey...

Re: Batmanfia DAY ONE

*shrugs* I was just naming all the villains I could think of; I also forgot Dracula. I never read comics much anyway; most of my Batman experience is from the animated series (the early 90's one, not the new one). The stats are still kind of pointless, though; as I understand it, about the only thin...

I'm going to have to agree with Az on this. Sorry Matthias. Vote: Matthias :( Anyway... More largely useless data. Re: ITT: We Play with Top Card of Library Revealed, Prescience

On PHE culture: Transhumanism? Awesome. I've never been fond of the idea that lack of emotions makes a person--or race, as the case me be--misanthropic, though. Besides which, trying to suppress human emotions is pretty damned impossible; it's a genetic drive dating back to the "mouse among din...

Re: Batmanfia DAY ONE

I'm going to sacrifice a few cool points here: Catwoman was a pretty good movie. The only part I didn't like about it was the skanky outfit they stuck her in; her "classy cat burglar" getup at the beginning of the movie was much more stylish and functional. But by all means, continue the d...

I had no idea that there were people who didn't know who the Joker was--Dark Knight was, if I'm not mistaken, the biggest blockbuster of the summer; maybe a record-setter for revenue, even? Then again, I don't know Sungura that well, except that she apparently plays Mafia a lot, so her mixing up the...

Re: Batmanfia DAY ONE

If they're an sk, they're probably the Joker; he's the only villain axe-crazy enough to qualify (I think). And if that's the case, they definitely have recruiting powers; the clown prince of crime doesn't do much single-handedly, as I recall.

Can't really say much on the rules, but maybe something on the setting? I was thinking that the explanations for the prescient player didn't make sense for a couple of reasons. First, genetic memory of people who haven't actually been born yet is, uh... well, it makes less sense than regular genetic...

On a side note, SC4 is pretty lame anyway. There were three things awesome about SC3: the story mode, the RTS side-game, and character creation. SC4 doesn't have the first two, and in character creation the clothes actually have stats now, so you have to pick between aesthetics and skills. ZOMG ligh...
