Re: Starcraft 2 : The Dune II Clone

mm, I just need to use ghosts more to get used to them. I'll try that build. Is there percentage in going mech against 'toss? I get the feeling that its not considered terribly effective. Hellions are crazy good against zealots which are getting very popular, and are good against tanks. If you can ...

So I'm pretty confident 'toss is my worst match up as terran, which is all I play. i'm ranked mid-level gold, but really haven't played enough 1vs, mostly concentrating on team play with friends. Still, I'd like to get better, and this match up is the one I have the biggest trouble with. Currently ...

Re: Starcraft 2 : The Dune II Clone

Or reapers... anything which can kite zealots shuts that down so hard. while they may have some forcefields, it's unlikely to be enough to stop a mobile reaper or hellion force from running away. Sentries don't really even deal damage. a reaper beats a sentry 1on1, which is pretty cool. Reapers wou...

Or better yet you should arrange some 2v2 matches against me. I'm down for that. I don't really have a consistent person to play with, though. There are definitely a lot of builds and openers I'd enjoy testing, but you can't really do that in random team and I've never been able to have a consisten...

Re: Starcraft 2 : The Dune II Clone

So, here is a build thought for a 3v3 or 4v4 sized game. A fast collossi build. The idea is to reach T2 units long before the other side can, and back that up with your allies T1 armies, and simply win the T1 push. Oh, and because it is sort of fun to work out. The idea is to get a collosus out as ...

Re: Starcraft 2 : The Dune II Clone

Honestly I'd rather put the 400 minerals and 250 gas into Battlecruisers, especially since upgraded Battlecruisers are good against everything except well-micro'd Vikings (marines do piddly damage against the 4? armor upgraded Battlecruisers get.) I stand by my belief that nukes, nydus-flanking (re...

Anyone else here tried doing the cloaked ghost rush in TvP yet? The thing I most disliked about the NASL streaming was the ridiculous downtime between sets. Okay, Nuke has launch range of 10, and does damage in a radious of 8... tanks have range of 13. Re: Starcraft 2 : The Dune II Clone

Stuff 1st game: you built two starports just to do banshee 'harass'. 2 starports is a big commitment. If I scouted two starports, I'd want a decent number of vikings to hold it off. Even if it was 1 starport, I'd still build a few vikings (not -mass- vikings, but w/e). Knowing he (should) has vikin...

I sort of think forcefields should be killable (if you manually target them), having about 2x the HP of a barracks/gateway. The amount of damage that can be inflicted on a maxed army by 5 sentries with some built up energy is just ridiculous. Making them killable would stop FFs from doing OP things...
