Re: Siralim 2

Breeding does make special combinations, afaik. And a number of creatures can't be extracted until they've been bred. I'm kind of wondering if only a handful of base critters from each critter type will appear in the dungeons until you breed more. Actually, I think that's exactly how it works - each...

Just picked this up for giggles, and think it's pretty fun. It's basically Dragon Warrior Monsters on crack. Since I absolutely loved Dragon Warrior Monsters (I was like four crosses from the top Boss Monster!), i figured I'd give this a go. It's definitely pretty huge, and if you like random dungeo...

Fair way to interpret it. Are the Remade part of the book also or is it some other scifi/new weird thing I'm supposed to know about? There are a fair bit of hints describing what's going with them, including a meeting with the college professor who is a 'bio-thaumaturge' and later does some Remade-...

Katana wasn't a good character, she was an extra. Interchangeable special forces soldier #7 had more personality than her. I disagree - we have some backstory for Katana, and we see her exercise emotional depth. Frankly, I found her story about as meaningful as Deadshots. If refusing to use violenc...

What about the actual good guys, like Katana?

Diablo deciding not to use his powers for more bad makes him somewhat of a pacifist. Using his powers to do some good doesn't make him a 'good guy'.

Yes, I'm talking about Yag's arc. Ah, so, that's why I don't/didn't understand the criticism of 'its a commentary on how rape victims are hard to deal with'? I agree on Diablo: he is a tortured "Bad guy turned good guy". How do you figure? I think deciding to fight against the thing trying to take over the world is hardly a redeemable action. Diablo was a low level gangbanger who accidentally killed his family because he had super powers - he'...

My only complaint about the story was that the dues ex machina ending was based around Kubo realizing the power of others, not the power within himself. I get that thematically this makes sense as he is arguing against becoming a dispassionate immortal, but as a human child, there's never been a...

I'm fairly certain (but absolutely could be wrong!) that these devices aren't on WiFi or such, and all the interfacing with them is done via induction.
