Re: Woman thread - NO HOMERS CLUB

OK, before actually bothering to track my cycles, I had never realised just how long they are. I'll have to wait till next time to discover if that is typical for me, but apparently this one was 38 days.

Re: Is it time to trash paper books in schools?

I'd much prefer to actually have paper to read. I'm not a fan of reading on computer screens for that long, it gives me a headache. The main bad thing about textbooks is how much some of mine weigh - why do engineering books have to be so fat?

For noodles, finding a proper Chinese supermarket is always the best bet. They're higher quality noodles than you'll find in a supermarket for a fraction of the price. That too. Today I was at the DMV and got my picture taken for my license and I look almost NORMAL (albeit somewhat tired). See http://accent.gmu.edu/ english240 sounds most "normal" to me, so I suppose that corresponds to my accent. One thing I noticed about that site is that many of the South East Asian people don't have South East Asian accents: some have Australian accents, some have North American accents...

Waving at people when you are stuck in a traffic jam while sitting in a minibus is really good fun. In a minibus you are high enough up so you can wave at the people in coaches and HGV drivers, but you are low enough to wave at cars too.
