if your sure it was a bug file a report (dont bother with launchpad go straight to parted, if the bug wasnt thier fault (which id by 90% sure about) then its probably qt/gparted fault, or possible something went wierd in ubuntu)

easy, portal gun, while you can do cool stuff with the gravity gun. with the portal gun you can finally scratch that spot on your back that always itches!
