Mhm. The spaceship's engines, as I recall, run on dark matter, and, rather than moving the ship through the universe, move the universe around the ship.

Which is exactly the same, assuming that no frames of reference outside of the universe exist.

You know what would be interesting? Writing a sci-fi/fantasy book in which the protagonist, instead of the cliched antagonist, uses dark matter as power. It could power his spaceship or something. It would be ironic to most, but sensible to any amateur physicist out there. http://home.earthlink.net...

Hmmm. Black could feasibly respond with Kd8 here. Rd1+, then Nd5 to block it, then Qxa8+ Kd7 and the h8 rook is protected by the queen. I suppose then white could play Bc3 or Qxa7. Black drops a rook and possibly a pawn. The other possibility is Nd7 Qxa8+. Black could go Nb8 to block, but then Bc3 l...

Aha this is even nastier than I thought. Let's consider Black's options: ..Nxf6 Qxc6+ Here, black could play Nd7 to block, at which point White could grab the rook on a8 (to which black should respond with Nb8 if he wants to live, then white plays Bc3 and wins the other rook), or bring the rook in t...

This somehow looks like a mix of Newton-Raphson and my method?
