Re: help building robot (arm)

It really depends on the wall socket. Brand new sockets/plugs are much more difficult to use than ones from houses 40 years old. It's just wear and tear. As far as actually figuring this out, borrowing a force meter from somewhere would be able to give you a fairly accurate number...

Seconded. Schoenberg will sound like random slamming on the piano unless you know what is really going on. And when that dawns upon you, its a pretty great sense of discovery.

PE was always just something to get over with for me in my younger days. I never have been fit/strong/whatever, which made some parts of gym suck a lot. Musictheory.net is a really good beginner's resource. Basically it's a series of mini 'lessons' that you observe (flash format). They do a pretty good job of covering the basics. Yes, Dave Holland does Quintet work as well as Big Band. Last night I picked up Maceo Parker's new(ish) album, Roots and Grooves . I'm pretty sure that trusting the XKCD fora to tell you how to grow a carnivorous plant will result in certain death*. Because let's face it--we all would like to contribute to the growth of a man eating plant. It's just cool.

Yeah. I know it's not new news that the government is doing this... It's just one of those things that kinda bugs you. @Gelsamel: Yes, its the morality of them buying the silence that bothers me.
