Re: Steering showdown

I'd say that most of the time, I drive with just my left hand at 9. I go with 9&3 if there's enough other traffic around, though if I'm stuck sitting in heavy traffic I'll usually just drive with my left at 7.

Re: Star Wars Episode 3.5: Roguey One Kenobe

Among my group of friends, anyone who saw Rogue One in 3D had no issue with CGI Tarkin, while everyone who saw the film in 2D placed him firmly in Uncanny Valley territory. It's probably just an anomaly from the small sample size, but I was curious if others' reactions were similarly aligned.

Re: Every hour, on the hour

It bothers me that points are awarded here for posts that are not "on the hour" (though the last few have done well in that regard).

What-If Copyright

I noticed that the footer on What-If pages contains the following:
Copyright ©2012-15 xkcd.

I just wanted to point this out in case it hasn't been updated because of simple oversight.

What-If 0154: "Coast-to-Coast Coasting"

Coast-to-Coast Coasting What if the entire continental US was on a decreasing slope from West to East. How steep would the slope have to be to sustain the momentum needed to ride a bicycle the entire distance without pedaling? Follow-up question: how...

Unless my knowledge is out of date, Feather Falling is compatible with other forms of damage protection. So unless the exclusion was intentional, you could add some Blast Protection or other to those boots.

Thank you for this. I've been following this topic, trying to reconcile my intuition with what the maths are saying, and your post finally did so.

Re: Minecraft

The OP lists some server details, but mentions a modpack (for 1.6.4, were I to guess from the mod list). It seems recent discussions are about a Vanilla 1.11 server, yes? Should this first post's details be updated?

Re: Firefox issue on annotations

Java is not Javascript, Javascript is not Java. I can't actually find a way to natively, wholesale block Javascript in Firefox 50, but you may have an Add-on such as Ghostery or NoScript that is blocking Javascript on What-If.

I only answer once to a poster, per post, so I am not sure what you mean by double posting. There is no multi-post function so you cannot be referring to that so please indicate what you mean. Regards DL If you are the last person to have posted in a topic, do not create a new post in that topic; d...

Re: 1122: "Electoral Precedent"

BTW, shouldn't some of the lines be different, such as 1796: "No one without false teeth has become a president" "...but Adams has ."? I don't want to be a grammar nazi, especially since English isn't my first language, but it bugs me a little. Maybe I'm just missing something, ...
