True, but unrelated. The wavelength of a photon should not be confused with the probability distribution of its quantum wave function.

Re: re: The Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle

Speed is a misnomer; an example of Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle is that we cannot know both the position and momentum of a particle. While photons do not have rest mass, they do have momentum arising from their non-zero energy.

I was taking antidepressants for a while, I found they decreased my general cognition but increased my motivation. Since I stopped taking them, I've found work incredibly easy [again], but been far less motivated to actually do it.

Everyone values their own life. That's an evolutionary survival mechanism. Re: Non-newtonian bullet

What would happen if you replaced the slug of a bullet with a non-newtonian fluid (both from the point of view of firing and impact)? It would probably break up mid-flight. I don't think NNFs tend to have high shear modulus, hence they're called 'fluids'. At lower velocities, say a thrown ball, it ...

Re: Bird Poop and Luck; the truth behind aerial fecal matter

Anyway, I'm pretty sure the good luck thing (which is a genuine superstition not just one made up for fable) is just a way to try and cheer people who've been pooped on by a bird up. Which is ironic, considering I like to imagine the birds poop on people to cheer themselves up. It's like a circle o...
