What do you think it was trying to do? I don't think it's so clear. For all we know, they could have just went to make a standard RPG like Baldur's Gate, only thematically suited to the Planescape setting.

Nope, that's not it, sorry. I remember it having a really plain interface and the programming was more complex than Light bot. Still, it must be somewhat similar. I apologize for the fuzziness of my descriptions, I really don't remember it well enough.
