Re: OOC-thread for the throne story.

True, but I just wanted to clarify a couple of details with him because I don't want my character's back story messing with anything from Matthias's. I basically want to stay as faithful to the original Throne Story mythos as possible, I'm just taking some continuity precautions so I don't step on a...

Re: OOC-thread for the throne story.

*Thread necromancy powers... RESTORE!* :P Howdy! Okay, like I said in the Throne Story thread, I'm really interested in jumping into this story, though I've never actually done any role-playing before. (If it helps though, I'm actually studying to be a writer.) I REALLY want to help get this story b...

((Just read through much of this thread AND the story as it started in the original throne game thread the other day. Been wanting to join in, I had a great idea for a character who's sort of a spin-off from one of Matthias's last posts. Seeing as this story seems to be in limbo though, I'll probabl...

I hope this doesn't cause a raptorpopalips. Help appreciated. Anyways, just came back from a quick jump to mid-2008.....

That's odd, it seems to work fine for me. Then again I'm a tech n00b, and I'm using this particular model of voice recorder. Some sort of quality control or program error, maybe?

BTW, nice accent. :)

Re: Things you remember watching but can't remember the name of

Okay, there was a film. It was a parody film of sorts. I remember it being about a kid growing up in Italy (possibly) and he had to wear leg braces (Forrest Gump parody) and there's a scene where he is running away from mobsters, and his braces fall apart, but all sorts of stupid things come out, l...

I was SO angry with myself for not getting the Don Quixote bit at the end when I first read it. Of course it all made such epic, glorious sense after I read the first few replies in this thread. I love you, Randall.

The New Frontiersman indeed operates out of New York, it was just one of the few areas not directly affected by the explosion. I think I remember from the comic the NF editor annoyedly saying to Seymour something like "After millions of people in New York die, you're still here?!"

Our Literature class once did a showing of this film for school, and for all its occasional imperfections (interesting premise but with a somewhat superficial execution of it IMO) I certainly agree it is by all means a meaningful (if not painfully earnest and evocative) film with stunning visuals.
