Re: Has a book ever changed your life?

No book has ever qualified as life-changing for me. A lot of books (films, too) have changed my feelings and emotions though. A recent example is Cryptonomicon, which has (logically) changed my opinion of the importance, usefulness and limitations of crypto.

Mm.. Then we still get into the question of the ability of a 'bad' man to change.. So is that all it hinges on? Yes, it is. Fallout 3 has some speed issues with VATS when using high anti-aliasing, I had the exact same problem with it as you do, even before the patch. When I tuned mine down from 8x to 4x, it started working instantly again. Might be worth a shot.

Rivet City is pretty easy to reach, you can just cross the bridge near the tepid sewers and continue to the south east, skirting DC. The real trouble comes when you try to travel to a particular spot within DC, which indeed is a maze.

I tend to use energy weapons against well armoured enemies (think mirelurks, enclave), I've found they tend to work better, even at relatively low skill levels (100 in small guns vs 50 in energy weapons).
