Re: Britney doesn't write own songs, songwriter says "Duh"

As a classical musician, I am shocked to hear that all these pop singers just perform works written by other people, sometimes even putting their names on the front of the album and giving the actual composer a relatively small share of the credit. I mean, that's our job. At least classical musicia...

I think some of these can be avoided by asking the prof to put stuff on their course outline/website. Then, if they fail to do it (say to provide a formula sheet and failing to do so), then you can hold them accountable. The other parts, like not wanting to use PowerPoint/Beamer, isn't the prof's fa...

The higher the class the more important the test and papers are. The lower the class, the more like highschool it looks like. All of my classes are 300 or 400 level and I don't have "homework" aside from assigned reading, which I don't do. This makes the day to day easier, but it puts all...

I'm not 100% sure, but I seem to remember that for all the proofs where we had to let ||z|| -> infinity we generally did something with considering an arbitrary point on or outside a circle of radius R, and then let R approach infinity. Or something along those lines. "outside a circle of radi...

My point is that if you're in a context where only |z| matters (and so saying "Let |z| go to infinity" gives you enough information), then you might as well be working in the nonnegative real numbers where "bigness" is intuitively defined. How so? I distinctively remember a bunc...
