Re: Why We Can't Drive In Georgia

I live in Kansas, where we get every form of weather imaginable. A couple of years back, we had 3-4 inches of ice from a really nasty winter storm. In addition to the slickest streets I have ever seen, it brought down trees, power lines, you name it. We were in the Emergency Accident Reporting Plan ...

What I love is that the military goes on to say "Please repeal it, so we can do this orderly. Because it will get repealed through the legal process and it'll go really bad for us if it does." And yet... Yeah, we want this to end through act of Congress so that the transition goes smoothl...

Re: DADT Repeal Passes in the House

McCain is pushing very hard to get the entire, 2000-page bill read before the Senate before it can be voted on. Which pretty much guarantees the bill will die before the next session takes effect. I'm confused as to why he's pushing so hard against allowing open serve when one of the biggest propon...

I was under the impression that the mechanism was still unknown, and whether or not their resistance could be transferred was unknown as well. Evidently, if you're a marrow match, it can be. It's the receptors in the cells; tl;dr the virus can't interface with the receptors of the cells being produ...

I believe that transplant actually shortens your life more than HIV. Really? Sorry, but I've never heard that bone marrow transplants were that bad. It's not like an organ in the body. But, then again, not a doctor. It can be bad, since his body is now relying on a foreign immune system, but as lon...

Apparently bodies of recently deceased people (in the West anyway) decay at a slower rate than 50 or 100 years ago, because of all the preservatives in modern processed foodstuffs. Heck, our mines should stick around for quite some time, since they're basically man-made caves. Nuclear waste, concrete roads, etc will stay a while, too.

Plastic should actually stick around quite a bit, too, especially if it gets buried.

We've already done a pretty good job of closing and locking all of the doors, at this point, the explosives and techniques that the terrorists are forced to use are so prone to failure they hardly pose a real threat.
