Re: Rant Thread : For all your obscenity screaming needs

With government resources I always feel like I should be able to do things online. If they're desperate to cut everything, put the services online at least. Though I will say it was really easy to register to vote online and I appreciated that.

Re: Rant Thread : For all your obscenity screaming needs

Flashcards for revision is so helpful. I have maybe hundreds of the things for equations. Wake up, flashcards, lunch, flashcards, break, flashcards, just before bed, flashcards. 3x a day for a week or so and you can remember the bastards. However, I have forgotten most of them now. So there's that. ...

His plan for GCSE English 'well, they need to memorise all the poems out of their anthologies!' Uh, no. Stress-based forgetting is a hobby of mine and just because some arsehole wants me to be able to memorize a bit of Shakespeare doesn't mean that it will actually stick.

I really, really dislike Michael Gove. I really didn't like him as an education minister - he seemed to be in the school of 'let's revert everything to the way it was 50 years ago'. I do not want that man in charge of anything.

Re: Inspirations

#TRITONFACTS Triton has a pretty weird orbit. It's almost completely circular, highly inclined and also retrograde (orbiting in the opposite direction from all the other Neptunian satellites). It is thought that it was captured into a highly eccentric orbit which then circularized. We'll talk about ...

We get style dice if we do things well which mean that if we're in a tricky spot and roll badly we can have a flat +1 or reroll a particular die. It means that we don't directly tamper with things but we do get a little bit of a reward. We can also spend them to add things to the world 'Can the gian...
