Re: Mini: Bastard Bulldog Butterflies

I doubt that the scum are vampires, I think that was some random comment about the book Dracula. Also, keep in mind that the mod told us several times that he intends to be a bastard mod, so I'm not sure we know anything other than that Rakysh is dead, we're down 1 townie, and there are 11 other pla...

Re: Futuramafia — Day 2: He's champin' for a clampin'!

I must say that days this short are refreshing. I was in one game at the site I used to play on where Day 1 lasted for a month in real time because one of the veterans proposed a mass claim on the first page so we got pages of stuff just from that debate, which of course became heated and led to vot...

Re: Futuramafia — Day 2: He's champin' for a clampin'!

Kipper, it may be that Mega always lurks, but what he/she has posted I find to be scummy. The reasons for lynching lurkers have been thrown about and debated ad naseum I'm sure, but those mainly apply when we don't have any decent suspects. I happen to think that Mega is a suspect, lurker or not, an...

Re: Futuramafia — Day 2: He's champin' for a clampin'!

Hmm, so what's the standard practice when dealing with somebody who has claimed town and has a lynchee? I've never seen anything like a lynchee before so I have no experience to draw from. For Moody to win, does Entropy have to be lynched, or just die? I'm thinking at this point that we need to wait...

Re: Futuramafia — Day 2: He's champin' for a clampin'!

Ok, so I reread with an eye toward finding scum in light of what we know now, that Une See was town and targeted by 2 different NKs, and that CVSoul was scum. Here are my thoughts: I started by looking at the CVSoul wagon. Since CV was scum, it's doubtful that his fellow mafiosos would start the wag...

Sup everybody. I've been reading the thread, but not with actual game play in mind so I will do a quick reread and hopefully get my thoughts in regarding Moody before the deadline.

Re: Forum-Mafia Discussion/Recruitment/Gojoe canNEVER be trusted

It may be that there's a fundamental difference in the way games are balanced between here and MTGS too. I was only scum once in games there, but our crew had a roleblocker, a one-shot double vote, a couple normal goons, and I had a one-shot investigation that would tell me what the role of the targ...

Re: Forum-Mafia Discussion/Recruitment/Gojoe canNEVER be trusted

I'm still curious whether the alignment reveal on the next morning was a decision somebody made that it makes games better of if it's just done that way. I think revealing immediately helps out the town since power roles can decide who to target based on who was lynched and who was/wasn't on the wag...

Re: Forum-Mafia Discussion/Recruitment/Gojoe canNEVER be trusted

I have a question about mafia in general as played on this site. My previous experience was on the MTGSalvation board, which shares several regulars with the Mafiascum forum. In all the games I read/played in on MTGS, we were given info about the lynchee in the post signifying night. What info was g...

I've never told anyone this, but my parents were killed in a parachuting accident. Your name is just too close to "parachute" and I die a little inside every time I hear it. I'm sorry, but I just can't take it anymore.

So I just finished reading through Princess Bride Mafia and I would be up to serve as a replacement if it's not dead. It would be a shame for a game with such a cool theme to just kinda fade into nothingness.

Ok, so I'm not new to mafia, but I'm new to the xkcd forums. What does it mean that a game I signed up for is in the queue? Is it just waiting for games currently running to finish now? Sorry if this was answered somewhere but I can't seem to find it in the stickied threads.

Depends on what kind of zombies they are. If they're the slow moving "BRAAAAAAAINS" kind, then I'd go with an axe for beheading and a shotgun for making sure there is no longer a head. :)
