Re: 1190: "Time"

I reread the Chronicles after being completely lost when the story switched to following runty & co. I'm glad I did, some of the things that didn't stand out as important, or didn't make sense the first time through, were a lot clearer on the second runthrough. And I don't think the first ones ...

Re: 1190: "Time"

I suspect I'll be missing out on a lot more, but I guess that's the consequence of not having followed the OTT the one true way. :( There is no "one true way" to Time; Blitzing is just as valid as having been there from the get-go. And surely someone would have an archive of the missing i...

Re: 1190: "Check Your Backups Day"

Seems Vol. 1 might make up for a good re-reading at this point. Is that a note-to-self or a suggestion to me? More of a general suggestion. I decided I wasn't sure anymore of Torgos' class, so I went back to recheck, also taking the opportunity to see if there was anything to inspire me and the oth...

The Chronicles of Torgos, Vol. 11

Welcome to The Chronicles of Torgos, Vol. 11! The theme of today's update is "Let It Slide", where we find out that Torgos is willing to change his ways and slowly lose his mind if it gets the job done... <- Volume 10 The journal pages here feel oddly different, as if they've undergone som...

Guys, I think I've lost the distinction between writing a character's background and writing a novel :| ETA: I'm very muchly down with reading an epic backstory. Re: 1190: "Time"

Could a forest gnome ranger potentially start out with a griffon? It could be his birth pet, or a recent acquisition if he was apprenticed to a breeder and stole one when he ran off (to save it from being sold as a caged display animal to a rich czar or something). Maybe the breeder had it's wings ...

Re: 1190: "Time"

The more modern version : roll 6*(4D6 drop the lowest) and use these 6 rolls in whatever order you want This is definitely the one I prefer; it's very flexible, and allows you to ignore that pesky 1-roll that would otherwise ruin your character's day. (I got double-1's as part of Torgos's roll, whi...
