Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts (Random like the plague)

I can't remember the part of the brain responsible, but I remember studying it a bit back in neurology in undergrad. I wish I could sound smarter right now and describe exactly what is going on, but I don't remember that was too many years ago. But they did a study - if you stimulate a certain part...

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts (Random like the plague)

Does anybody else sometimes feel like they are in constant motion while stationary? Sometimes when I am sitting or lying down, I feel as though I am slowly floating up or down, or that I am rotating or swaying from side to side as if I am on a boat. Of course! But it only happens if I've lied down ...

Re: [SAFESPACE] Woman Thread - #sharkweek on irc.foonetic.net

Equality should be just that equal. I'm a woman and proud of it but I really hate when some "angry" feminists (and I say "angry" feminists because it's the only people I've heard this from) say that men for some reason are worth less than women. Why? We are all humans and in some...

Re: Should Society Force Some People to Have Less Kids?

The government in a democracy can't under any circumstances go in to families and tell them how many kids are acceptable. Most people reason on this. The don't get to many kids if they don't have the means to support them. The only way a government can control how many children you have is of course...

Re: Unarmed combat - indicator of skill, or primal brutality?

I think that it's necessary to learn self defense. People feel safer with the knowledge that if someone would rob them they could protect themselves. I also consider it a form of anger management. It's better to pretend to fight and get your anger out, than to carry it along. But I think as many oth...
