Re: Mahjong

I've recently started to get back into mahjong a lot more seriously and started playing some Tenhou. But I have some issues with it, naming the pausing on potential chi/pon/kan/ron calls (they seem to also put in random pauses to discourage reading into the pauses but the pauses are still correlated...

Re: Anime Thread of Doom

The second series is more fantastical than the first series, but it is very good. You might not like it if you want it to be more 'normal' like the first series. Less world building than the first series and there is some really horrible russian in it. Both Last Exile series are really amazing thoug...

Re: Anime Thread of Doom

For anyone who has watched it, does Saki get better after the first season? The main characters are annoying and the secondary characters who are awesome all get shafted. As long as Saki gets over her emotional/mental issues at the time she is a God Mode Sue and makes all conflict boring. Plus she a...

The overall plot points of Kill la Kill are pretty predictable, but how they are implemented and the particular minutiae of the story are pretty crazy. Latest episode is awesome and has me so pumped for the next one, that is all.

While I'm more interested in the map maker, the character creator is also cool. If the tools are easily moddable then they could end up being very powerful tools.

Even if it is technically pacifist because you don't kill anyone (which is a weird way of defining pacifist, but sure) it still isn't non-combat, given that you're constantly in combat with people.

It might piss off players a bit, but you could break the trope of always being able to get your stuff back after you're thrown in prison or otherwise lose your equipment.
