I know a few who like to call themselves Mainiacs. The only former-Bostonian I've worked with called himself a Masshole. Kinda makes me wish there was a good self-deprecating term for "Minnesotan". Other than "Canadian". I think you mean "Baja Canadian". as opposed to,...

I'm terribly disappointed to see that Randal Munroe did not make a comic for e-Day. It was even the e-Day of the century! 2.718 ==> 2/7/18. Sheesh! Why does pi get it's own day but e is forgotten about? What are you on about? e-day is in late July, as all good little-endians know! The Interna...

Re: 1952: "Backpack Decisions"

I'm really surprised by this. I thought he would have a comic about the Falcon Heavy for sure. Maybe he drew a comic depicting it blowing up and had to quickly figure something else out instead. He's obviously considered going on a trip. The Tesla on the way to Mars had a 'mannequin' seated in it. ...

Years ago, I was in San Jose on the day of the Super Bowl, and went on a hike in the hills with two dozen geeks. Our leader, Brad T., had jury-rigged a digital video recorder (before there were commercial products that did this) and was capturing the whole show on hard disk. But we weren't interest...
