What's going on?

scratch that; my edit button doesn't work AT ALL - what the hell?

I may as well have been using the reply button, since the edit itself was not in a locked thread. And what, am I just _not_ supposed to respond when someone insults me and then locks the thread? If this is IN FACT what it was, a ban from S/FI would have been a much more sensible response. But anyway the matter was already resolved yesterday, so why was my edit button taken away today?
Anyway, why was I not told that this was in effect (I had to find out from you after posting about what I thought was a technical glitch)? And why did I not get any warning? How long will this last?

Whoever it is clearly has no respect for the rules, since now they're locking threads in the "free" forum - so there's really no reason for you to assume that I actually did anything to earn this punishment.
